About the Artist: Kay Montanye is a painter, wife, and mother of two boys. She has a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is based just outside of Baltimore in Glyndon, MD, an old Victorian town that overlooks a vast valley of hayfields and horse farms. Living near such an untouched landscape has allowed her love and appreciation for the natural beauty of our world to grow over the years. She uses her interactions with the local animal life to inspire her work. She creates mixed media illustrations which are hand drawn while using watercolor, acryla gouache, and acrylic paint.
